While sources close to the couple has insisted that Hollywood superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still together, author Ian Halperin has remained consistent to his statement suggesting the couple has called it quits.

The author of "Brangelina" recently stated to Hollyscoop the main reason of the split is the couple's six children."When you have six kids and you're fighting all the time, it's not conducive to their well-being," Halperin explained.
In addition to uttering his belief that the couple broke up for the sake of their kids, the author added that the couple has compatibility issue. "The first two years they were in the honeymoon stage. Then they woke up and realized that they certainly are not the most compatible couple and argue about everything," he said.
Halperin also noted that he would have never made the comment if he wasn't 100% sure. He believes that James Desborough, the reporter who first broke the break-up news for News of the World, would never have reported it if it wasn't true. "He never gets his facts wrong. He's a rock solid reporter!" he said of Desborough.
So far, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have yet to confirm nor deny the split rumor. While Brad's brother Doug Pitt recently stated that he could confirm the break-up and revealed that the power couple "have been in a pretty loveless relationship for about a year", the "Changeling" actress' father Jon Voight called the rumor "nonsense" and added, "Brad and Angelina are jake, thank you very much."
The "Inglourious Basterds" actor and the "Salt" actress first met on the set of "Mr and Mrs Smith" in 2004, but weren't spotted together until a month after his former wife Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce in 2005. Together, they have three adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, and three biological children, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
