AFTER weeks of silence on the subject of their impending arrival, Brad Pitt has confirmed to friends that his partner Angelina Jolie is expecting a child, in fact two.

Jolie's rounded belly on the red carpet of the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday confirmed she was expecting.

Coinciding with Jolie's bump debut, excited dad Pitt has begun telling friends about their impending arrivals, according to Britain's Daily Mail.

The couple are already adoptive parents to Cambodian Maddox, six; Ethiopian Zahara, three; and Vietnamese Pax Thien, four; and have a biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel, 21 months.

In preparation for the birth this summer, Pitt has been rescheduling his work so he has enough time to spend with Jolie and the children.

A friend of the couple tells the Mail Online: "Brad's been very quiet about this pregnancy so far but this was the weekend he decided to let the cat out of the bag. He's telling everybody close to him, because he's having to change around his work schedule to get ready for the birth.

Is it catfight time again for Angelina Jolie and Madonna?  There were reports last year when Jolie was highly critical of Madonna for her adoption and that led to all sorts of stories that the two stars were feuding.  The UK Daily Mail quoted Jolie slamming the "Material Girl" for her adoption in October of last year in what turned into a bunch f ugly accusations.

'Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where he was born,' said Jolie, who has adopted two Third World youngsters of her own. 'It's a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption. 'Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.'

Jolie would later say her words were misinterpreted.  Now there may be another scrap.  According to Star Magazine when Madonna held a party in early February to help raise millions for UNICEF and her charity, 'Raising Malawi', she had hoped Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would attend, a source tells Star.  After all, Brad is friendly with the pop icon’s husband, Guy Ritchie, and the two couples both adopted African children.

Actress Angelina Jolie has confirmed reports she is pregnant after she showed off her baby bump at the 2008 Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, Calif., on Saturday.

The "A Mighty Heart" star fueled speculation she is pregnant with her and partner Brad Pitt's baby last month, when she wore a loose-fitting dress on the red carpet at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards but refused to address rumors about the new arrival.

Now Jolie has confirmed the reported pregnancy by donning a tight black dress -- clearly displaying her growing belly.

The couple's spokeswoman, Cindy Guagenti, offers a firm "no comment" on the rumors.

The couple already has four children together -- adopted Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 21 months.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie avoided an embarrassing Oscar meeting with Jennifer Aniston on Sunday.

The pair - who are expecting their second biological child - were due to meet Brad's ex-wife Jennifer at a pre-Oscars party at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday, but instead decided to go to the nearby Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Jennifer spent an hour mingling with stars including George Clooney, Jake Gyllenhaal, Seal and Heidi Klum before retreating back to the one of the hotel's private bungalows.

Jolie and Pitt are parents of a one-year-old daughter, Shiloh, and three children adopted from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Their adopted children are Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; and Zahara, 3.

Jolie's appearance helped give a theme to Saturday's Spirit Awards, where the big winner was the teen pregnancy comedy "Juno." The movie, filmed in Vancouver, took awards for best independent film, best actress for Halifax's Ellen Page and best first screenplay for Diablo Cody.

 LONDON: Actress Angelina Jolie suffered a major health shock in mid-air and collapsed during an 18-hour flight.

The 'Tomb Raider' star, who is said to pregnant with twins, was on her way to Los Angeles from Iraq when she suffered from nosebleeds and cramps and fainted on her plane seat.

"She started to get nosebleeds and cramps. She fainted," a leading tabloid quoted a fellow passenger, as saying.

The actress was reportedly given oxygen when she landed before medics gave her the go-ahead to leave.

Meanwhile Jolie and partner Brad Pitt, who have three adopted kids and one of their own, have reportedly agreed a 100-million-pound pre-nup contract prior to their wedding.

Hollywood superstar couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have officially adopted 4-year-old Pax Thien from Vietnam.

A Los Angeles County Children's Court judge finalized the couple's adoption of Pax on Wednesday, a spokesperson for Jolie confirmed to People.com Friday.

FILM star ANGELINA JOLIE — said to be pregnant with twins — collapsed on an 18-hour flight.

A fellow passenger on the journey from Iraq to Los Angeles said: “She started to get nosebleeds and cramps. She fainted.”

Angelina, 32, was given oxygen when she landed.

She and hubby-to-be BRAD PITT, 44 — who have three adopted kids and one of their own — have reportedly agreed a £100million pre-nup deal ahead of their wedding.

Angelina Jolie has the entertainment world buzzing again.  The actress has everyone wondering if she is again pregnant and if she will need extra maternity leave when the baby (or babies as it is reported she may be pregnant with Brad Pitt’s twins) arrives.  She also may have some sort of a battle brewing poolside with Jennifer Aniston as both are scheduled for a pre-Oscars party.

So many secrets and when did everyone get so interested in Jolie again?  She made the move by appearing at an awards show in a brown cover up that had everyone buzzing that she was knocked up.  She then took a secret trip to Iraq and caught criticism or praise for endangering this "baby" depending on the point of view of the critics.

But will all of these secrets raise big time dollars?  If she is indeed pregnant it could be a massive record setting photo sale.   There were reports by Us Weekly magazine that she was going to let loose of the "confirmed" pregnancy report and a baby bump photo and sell it for charity.  While we are all still waiting, a savvy Jennifer Lopez has reportedly secured a deal for $6 million for the first photos and one would guess some sort of exclusive interview when she finally gives birth to her twins.

That's huge money and if she is really getting that much, how many dollars would Jolie make off her baby photos?  Some are already speculation ten million bucks.  Is it worth it?
