Film actress Angelina Jolie, helping an orphans advocacy group establish its headquarters in the nation's capital, pushed Thursday for more U.S. aid for education in developing countries."This is a happy day because it is not often enough that these children are represented in this town," Jolie said to a room crowded with cameras and reporters.

Actress Angelina Jolie was in Washington this Thursday to push the government to spend more money for universal education in developing countries."This is a happy day because it is not often enough that these children are represented in this town," Jolie said to reporters.The Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR, Jolie was in D.C. to open the Washington headquarters of Global Action for Children, a non-partisan advocacy group formed in 2003.Jolie talked about the reality that many of these orphans are often enslaved, resort to prostitution or are forced to become child soldiers. “Our government has the power to choose which path these children are going to take," Jolie told reporters at the National Press Club. "We know the consequences of our inaction.""The best solution for anyone who is abandoned or displaced is to be home (in their own countries)," Jolie said. "I would support that first and foremost."Jolie and partner Brad Pitt have three adopted children, Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Pax Thien, 3 years old.

Angelina Jolie has been called the next 'Mother Teresa' for all the charity work that she does, but the actress personally hates the tag.The actress insisted that she did not want to be named the 'Mother Teresa of Hollywood', for she was not the only one in the industry who wanted to help the poor and the destitute."I don't want to act like the Mother Teresa of Hollywood. I quite simply want to help where there is poverty and destitution. Am I the only one who thinks and acts like that?" Angelina Jolie's adopted Vietnamese son has been through enough name-changes over the last few months to ensure that the bulk of his adult life will be spent on a therapist's couch blathering about his identity, but Angelina Jolie isn't done yet.When he was born, the heroin addict mother of the Vietnamese boy named him Pham Quang Sang. But that name wasn't nearly embarrassing enough for Angelina Jolie's liking, so when she adopted him she swiftly changed his name to Pax Thien Jolie. And now that Angelina Jolie's boyfriend Brad Pitt wants in on the action too, the nipper is now about to be called Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt. Obviously the boy hardly needs to memorise this new name, since in the next few months it'll probably be changed again, to Duke Zargletron Giffiffy Balloonoh Nakaka Of Luxembourg III or whatever.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie described the experience of making “A Mighty Heart“ as emotional.A Mighty Heart, based on the memoir of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl's wife, is produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B and stars his companion, Angelina Jolie. Despite the familiarity with her "boss," Jolie recently reported in Entertainment Weekly that she and screenplay writer and director Michael Winterbottom clash on set. Winterbottom is known for his unique "reality TV" approach to shooting films. He encourages improvisation, uses handheld cameras and follows actors off set for b-roll.
