Angelina Jolie says people take her politics “less seriously” because of her acting career.“I don’t necessarily think that’s a natural role for an actor,” Jolie says. “Sometimes acting and politics make a very bad combination. I think that sometimes people take me less seriously in my work for the UN because I appear in movies.”Jolie is the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and recently went to Iraq to talk to Iraqi refugees.“I think we should be looking for great leaders in people who have dedicated their lives to those issues,” Jolie adds. “And the reality is that actors spend a great deal of their time making films.”Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt recently hosted a charity event to help raise funds to rebuild parts of New Orleans.

Actress Angelina Jolie arrived in war-torn Iraq on Tuesday in her capacity as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. On Monday, the mother-of-four flew from New York City to Damascus, Syria, where she spent hours chatting to Iraqi refugees and visited a United Nations Refugee Agency registration center.Jolie then traveled to a makeshift outpost on the Syrian/Iraqi border to meet 1,200 refugees camped there because they're unable to leave the country. She says, "I have come to Syria and Iraq to help draw attention to the humanitarian crisis and to urge governments to increase their support for UNHCR and its partners."My sole purpose in both countries is to highlight the plight of those uprooted by the war in Iraq."It is absolutely essential that the ongoing debate about Iraq's future includes plans for addressing the enormous humanitarian consequences these people face."Jolie has also made a morale-boosting trip to meet multi-national forces and U.S. troops in the region.
Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie spent part of their week in New York City where they treated their four kids to several family outings including a trip to Central Park complete with a carousel ride and a visit to a hot dog cart. Among the celebrity’s in attendance were Christie Brinkley, Ellen Barkin, and Jimmy Buffett. The event supported Pitt’s Make It Right project. The project is helping rebuild parts of New Orleans that was destroyed by Katrina.
For some time now, the world media has speculated that the actress is dangerously ill considering that her weight has fallen drastically. After the National Inquirer magazine announced in April that the actress is fighting a terminal disease, Stars is now confirming that.Jolie’s weight has fallen to only 40 kilograms, she is constantly dizzy, is very weak, and her husband Brad barely talked her into visiting a doctor. She has no appetite and eats very little.Testing has shown that Jolie has one form of hepatitis, but Brad does not want to talk about that. Along with all of that, her mood changes from minute to minute. A few days ago, she started screaming at him, saying that she is only with him because his is the father of their children. Brad has lots of understanding – revealed a friend close to the couple.
Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still maintain they were 'just good friends' and that romance only blossomed once Pitt and Aniston filed for divorce.Having met on the sets of the blockbuster Mr & Mrs Smith, Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still maintain they were 'just good friends' and that romance only blossomed once Pitt and Aniston filed for divorce. All the sizzling on screen, however, and a series of paparazzi shots taken off-sets might imply otherwise. It was only really when Brad adopted her kids, Maddox and Zahara, and Angelina announced that she was pregnant in January that they could no longer deny their status as a couple.Close friends said that with children involved, the need for a pre-nuptial became obvious. While reports claim Brad continues to ask Ange to marry him, those close to the couple are predicting a winter wedding at George Clooney's villa on Lake Como. But with their baby Shiloh having so recently arrived, wedding bells might not be sounding anytime soon.Any plans to marry might be on hold, but Brangelina's pre-nup ' has already been drawn up. Financial details remain under wraps but, apparently, the deal, commissioned at Angelina's request, is aimed at protecting the kids should things go wrong.

I think it’s hysterical!” she says. She also said that Pitt was “hot” but he wasn’t so “fascinating” to her.Angelina Jolie’s former lesbian lover has also spoken out about Pitt and dooms their relationship too. Jenny Shimizu had a 10 year on-off relationship with Jolie and says that Angelina will soon tire of Brad and revert back to getting her pleasures from women.Pitt and Jolie’s relationship has been criticized ever since they became public so soon after Pitt’s divorce from Jennifer Aniston.
