Hollywood Actress Angelina Jolie's Controversial Film Divides Country: Angelina Jolie took a break from acting and instead began her career as a film director with her effort in covering Bosnia's bloody 1992-1995 war, has sparked controversy and deeply divided the Bosnian public, local media reported on Thursday. Jolie was due to shoot the movie in Bosnia, but the authorities cancelled her licence in October, forcing her to do most filming in Hungary. In "Untitled Love Story," a Muslim woman is raped by a Serb soldier, but they later fall in love and go together through the horrors of war.

A Bosnian women organisation, Women, victims of war, protested against the the film. They claimed the movie was offensive to the thousands of women reportedly raped during the Bosnian war. They asked for a meeting with Jolie, but despite several promises she failed to appear in the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo. Meanwhile, Jolie's shooting permit was reinstated after she guaranteed it would not contain any offensive scenes. Last week, several sequences were filmed in the Sarajevo area, but the Oscar-winning actress failed to show up.
