Despite her refusal to reveal who she’s voting for in the upcoming presidential race between senators Barack Obama and John McCain, Angelina Jolie says she admires the causes supported by Obama, that a win for him would be beneficial to her family, and that these things “might” give the 33 year-old actress cause to vote for him.

In a recent interview with the German edition of Vanity Fair, when asked if Obama’s mixed racial background might cause Jolie - who adopted Ethiopian daughter Zahara in 2005 - to vote for him, she responded, “Naturally that's good, but it's not a sufficient reason to vote for him.”

She added, “Naturally, an American president like Barack Obama would be nice for my family."No-doubt adding to Jolie’s pro-Obama stance is her father, actor Jon Voight, who has publicly campaigned for senator McCain as well as recently appearing in the pro-conservative satirical comedy “An American Carol.”

Legally dropping the “Voight” from her last name in 2002, Jolie soon afterwards responded to criticisms by her father that she suffered from “mental problems” in a statement saying, “I don’t want to make public the reasons for my bad relationship with my father.”

Jolie, who had recently adopted Cambodian adoptee Maddox, added, “After all these years, I have determined that it is not healthy for me to be around my father, especially now that I am responsible for my own child.''No word yet on who Angelina’s boyfriend, Brad Pitt, will be voting for.
