Angelina Jolie Announced To Direct Her Next Movie: Angelina Jolie will make her directorial debut with a love story set during the Bosnian war. The war between Bosniaks and Serbs was fought between March 1992 and November 1995. It led to the death of around 100,000 - 110,000 and displacement of 1.8 million people. Jolie has visited the region several times as UNCHR Goodwill Ambassador.

She has penned the screenplay for the film, and will also co-produce it with Academy Award winning producer Graham King and his business partner Tim Headington. The trio recently collaborated on the production of The Tourist headlining Jolie and Johnny Depp. Jolie will not act in the film; the cast will comprise exclusively of actors representing various ethnicities from erstwhile Yugoslavia.
"The film is a love story, not a political statement," Jolie said during her recent visit to the region as UNHCR ambassador. "I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can."
The film is budgeted at a modest $15 million. Jolie earlier directed the 2007 documentary – A Place in Time aka A Moment in the World – that was a collage of footage from across the world captured at the same moment on January 11, 2005.
